Blade Soho is a hair salon and bar in the trendy London neighbourhood of Soho. It offers a unique experience, wherein one can get their hair cut, styled and coloured during the day and then enjoy an evening out with friends and live music when the salon turns into a bar in the evening.

Due to high demand from their customers, the salon wanted to give their clients the ability, through a mobile app, to book and manage appointments. The process would have to be very simple with no registration required.

The challenge here was to coordinate the design process with the development team due to the fact that the client (the salon) did not want to have a login system. Therefore, a custom solution had to be created in order to keep the booking data in the database. The client already had a webpage set up with a simple booking system; so, the developers adapted the booking system from the web page to work for the app. The result was a client-oriented, team management tool to handle reservations, organise the workload, and improve customer satisfaction. 

When this system was in place, I was put in charge of the entire user interface design for the bookings, rescheduling, and cancelations. The entire process consists of 4 easy steps. 

The customer is required to go through 4 steps to book the appointment:

1. Select gender
2. Select the service
3. Select the hairstylist
4. Confirm your appointment
